The display quit working

I've never even had this out of the house to use it yet and the display quit working. It's lights up but there is no writing to tell you what call you're on. And now I can only find four different calls with the dead display.

Used one season and it quit working. Installed new batteries, still does not work

how on earth do you adjust the volume? such a basic 'thing' and the answer appears to be nowhere.

Took out of the package, put batteries in it and the screen doesn’t work! But it sounds good and the remote works. I can change the call sounds but can’t see anything on the screen. But it does light up so I guess that’s cool! Oh and since I got it as a gift I don’t have the receipt and can’t return it. I guess I’ll just hunt whatever it calls in.
