It features a differentially heat treated, drop-forged head - which has a hard edge capable of reaching razor sharpness, but a soft steel body for absorbing impact. It also features a hand-picked straight grain American Hickory handle embellished with the Kanji characters for "Axe Gang" in. This stylish and iconic hatchet is as eye catching as it is durable. Got the axe few days ago this made 5 different hatchets and tomahawks I throw it is going to become one of my favorites I can tell !! Have a Trench Hawk from Cold Steel ,Norse Hawk and a Trail Hawk!! Going to try to locate a replacement handle for the # 90axg Axe Gang Hatchet know I will need one later on!! 5 Stars on this one!!
